Brand new for Autumn/Winter 2026, the Black Lace Claudia Mini Dress has stolen my heart! Designed exclusively for us as part of the Alexandra King for Deadly is the Female.

The Black Lace Claudia Mini Dress is a draped lace dress with sash tie waist and bishop sleeves. It features a V neck, which can be either modest or more daring, depending on how you tweak the gathers that run through the body of the dress. This brand new version is cut to our Mini Claudina length but the top layer of the dress is finished with stunning scalloped lace trim. This is such a romantic detail. 

The decadent black lace fabric is soft against your skin, which makes this dress feel opulent and sophisticated. You'll also find hidden pockets - our all-time favourite finishing touch!

Alexandra has designed the Black Lace Claudia Mini Dress with a shorter lining in the same lace. This makes the body of the dress less sheer (although not completely opaque) for an extra sultry feel. Of course you could still add a slip or shorts and a vest underneath.

The Black Lace Claudia Mini Dress perfectly combines our desire to look glamorous but still be comfortable! Cleverly designed, the dress is one size fits most, up to a 46" bust. This is because the dress is cut with a lot of fabric through the body, which drapes beautifully. The wide sash belt gathers everything in for an elegant hourglass shape when you tie it at the waist. You can choose how and where you tie the sash for a fit tailored to you. The sash is also cut in the soft and stretchy fabric so you can really cinch your waist in. This ingenious design means you can pretty much always grab this dress and throw it on!

The transformation from smock shape to luxuriously draped dress has to be seen to be believed! Take a peek through the photos to see what the dress looks like before the sash is tied. Tying the sash is easy - simply wrap it around your body once or twice (it's up to you!) and knot it. Just try to ensure the sash isn't twisted and that it is lying flat. 

Inspiration

Inspired by a dress worn by Barbara Stanwyck in the 1944 Film Noir drama Double Indemnity and lots of classic loungewear from the era. We gave our version the Deadly treatment to vamp it up even more!
