If you want to look like a true Hollywood Starlet this Christmas then the Mansfield Dress is for you! This dress ticks many important boxes for me; it features 3/4 length sleeves which in these chilly winter months you need, the jersey fabric is stretchy so its comfortable and warm to wear and it has ruching in all the right places. What is extra special about this dress is that it features bra strap anchors, fixing your bra strap in place so that they are hidden away and the neckline is fixed in place. Perfect touch! The colour of this dress just scream Christmas but it can easily be worn again and again, may I recommend for Valentine’s Day! Finally I have to mention that neckline, it is SO flattering and sassy! If you want glamour, sass, comfort and wearability with your Christmas Dress then the Mansfield Dress is a must!
Styling the Mansfield Dress….
Because of the incredible neckline and plunging back on the Mansfield Dress I’d recommend wearing your hair up so that you can show these features off. Perhaps try a slick bun with a sparkly hair clip for a sassy look or maybe a faux 1920’s bob for a playful and chic look. When it comes to makeup it has to be a red lipstick! If you are off to a fabulous Christmas party I would recommend the Suavecita Lipstick in Victory as this lipstick does not budge. The matte lipstick will sit in place all night long no matter how much you eat, drink and even smooch! We all love Christmas as we get the chance to get all dolled up and dance the night away. The perfect shoes to accompany the Mansfield Dress and help your dance all night long would be the Amber Shoes in Gold. These shoes have a wonderful vintage look and the Gold colour adds the perfect amount of glitz to the outfit. Plus, they are super comfortable! I have been able to wear my Amber shoes for 10 hours straight with no blisters or sore feet. Perfection! Due to the dress being figure hugging I’d recommend wearing big knickers! Preferably knickers that don’t have seams so they don’t show through the dress. My favourite big knickers that are also supportive would be the High Waisted Liz Knickers by What Katie Did.
If you have a black tie event this festive season or you just want the perfect glamorous little black dress then I’d recommend the Adriel Dress. This dress is designed and made by one of my favourite companies, Stop Staring! This brand creates high quality garments with beautiful vintage silhouettes that make you feel incredible. This dress is pure elegance and reminds me of elegance of Audrey Hepburn. This dress features a classic black swing underdress with spaghetti straps and a sweetheart neckline. Over the top skims a sheer, dotted over-dress. This black mesh dress has a slash neck and dainty cap sleeves. The Adriel dress nips you in at the waist giving you a vintage shape. This dress is just demure and easy to wear.
Styling the Adriel Dress….
This dress has a beautiful full skirt so I’d most definitely recommend adding a petticoat, especially if you are off to a party! Petticoats are too much fun twirling away on the dance floor! The Peggy Sue Petticoat in Black is the perfect fit under this dress and the black will enhance the beautiful features on this dress especially the polka dot mesh. When it comes to styling the hair, I would style the hair up to show off slash neck and cap sleeves. Why not channel a 60’s vibe with a big beehive or a chignon with some dainty pearl hair pins. With the shoes, I’d keep it very simple and choose a simple pair of black heels such as the Satin Pumps in Black. These will give you height so that you stand tall and proud but won’t draw attention away from your fabulous frock! Due to the beautiful sheer mesh, this dress will require a strapless bra. Strapless bra’s are tricky to find! My current favourite strapless bra is the lace underwired padded balcony strapless bra from Debenhams. This bra is hugely supportive and stays in place, my bust also doesn’t feel squished and instead gives me a bit of cleavage!
Burgundy Velvet Diva Dress
I LOVE velvet in the winter months, it just feels so luxurious to wear! The Velvet Diva dress is perfect for putting a wiggle in your walk with it’s formfitting shape and features 3/4 length sleeves meaning you may not need to wear a cardigan. This dress is made from an incredible stretch velvet, a favourite of ours as it means it’ll be easy to wear as well as flattering! The bust crosses at the front making it elegant and a bit sassy. Ladies, if you are blessed in the bust area this dress will work well for you supporting your bust but also making it look glorious! The burgundy colour of this dress is simply elegant and suits many different skin tones. I feel like this would be a Christmas dress that Jessica Rabbit would wear!
Styling the Burgundy Velvet Diva Dress…..
Now if you are going to wear a Diva Dress you better find your inner diva…well a nice but fabulous looking diva! This dress would look amazing with soft waves that will frame your face beautifully and highlight the stunning neckline on this dress. To bring out the beautiful burgundy colour of this dress I’d choose to wear a darker red lipstick such as the Suavecita Lipstick in Mirror Mirror, sassy! If there is a chill in the air or you want the full Hollywood Glamour look then I’d most definitely wear a Faux Fur Stole. These Faux Fur Stoles are fabulous, they feature a clever slit to thread the stole through as well as a hook and eye to keep the stole in place. There are so many ways to wear this stole, draped around your shoulders, fastened tight to keep the chill at bay or casually tossed over one shoulder for the ultimate effortless glamour.
Sweetheart Cupcake Dress
If you daydream about the prom scene in Grease then this dress will make your prom dreams come true! This dress can look a little daunting on the hanger because there is so much material but trust me it looks incredible on and it’s so much fun to wear! My first tip with this dress, check the size guide. This dress seems to size up small and I chose to size up so be sure to check the size guide and if you are in between sizes I’d recommend sizing up. One of the things I love about this dress is that the spaghetti straps are similar to bra straps in that they can be tightened and loosened. This helps make the dress feel more secure. The pleated satin seams around the waist really help to nip your waist in. Now that skirt, it’s just wow! The dramatic gathered swing skirt cascades to the knees in a ruffled mesh overlaying a voluminous tulle and featuring black swiss dots. This dress is an absolute show stopper!

If you going to wear this dress then why not go all out and add a petticoat to really show off all the gorgeous tulle. It will also make your waist look even tinier! I’d choose a Peggy Sue Petticoat in Red to keep this look feeling festive. To match the red petticoat I’d choose a pair of red heels such as the Satin Pumps in Red as the lace around these shoes match well with the tulle over the dress. If you want to add even more glamour and fabulousness to this dress then I’d definitely add a pair of Satin Evening Gloves in Red!
